We came across this excellent universal action called the Sustainable Developmental Goals We are proud to support the United Nations’ Global Sustainable Development Goals.

This is made up of 17 important goals that aim to create a better and more sustainable future for everyone. Some of these goals include providing quality education for all children, supporting good health and well-being, and creating safe and sustainable communities.

We believe that Early Childhood is the perfect time to start building lifelong values, attitudes, and habits.

That’s why we introduce these goals to our children in simple and meaningful ways through stories, group discussions, and hands on experiences that help them understand how they can care for themselves, others, and the world around them.

What does this look like…

We share a new SDG every fortnight at our morning group time.

The children explore ways that their communities and themselves have a responsibility to the SDGs.

We use appropriate developmental language in our teachings of these.

What a better way to develop a sense of belonging and universal responsibility and awareness than to be a part of a bigger program.
