School Readiness

Our school readiness program is built into the daily routine and learning experiences, starting as early as age 3yrs. We know some children show interest and are ready to start building those skills earlier.

Rather than waiting for a set age, we weave school readiness into everything we do, in a way that’s fun, age-appropriate, and tailored to each child’s interests and needs.

Throughout the day, children take part in a variety of activities designed to help them feel comfortable with the idea of school. We use routines that are similar to what they’ll experience in a school setting such as: group times, structured experiences, and transitions between activities.

We also focus on social and emotional skills such as confidence, responsibility, respect, and independence, which are just as important as academic skills when starting school.

As part of our approach, we introduce early literacy and numeracy through play and engaging learning opportunities.

Liaising with our neighbouring Primary Schools and Principals allows us to keep on top of modern day movements in Education.

Our Director, Jo, also maintains her teaching practices at local Primary Schools so her knowledge base is continuously updated with a flow on effect into our programs.
