Platinum Pre School. PREPARING THEM FOR THE LIFE AHEAD.

We empower children with the lessons,
values and life skills they need for the future.

ENDLESS LEARNING POSSIBILITIES

Our programming cycle is based on the EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework) which is child-led and spontaneous. Each Learning Area has an educator who combines play-based learning activities and teaching to promote learning development. These activities focus on developing each child’s fine and gross motor skills, including cognitive, social and emotional.

Educators use sensory experiences such as songs, dance, puzzles, stories, creative arts and role play to embed these skills. Platinum Pre School has a strong sense of school transition. It is our duty to ensure children transition smoothly from an early learning setting to primary school.

DEVELOPMENT AREAS

Moral compass

This is where we engage your children with valuable life skills lessons such as values, morals, manners and social interaction.

Figuring things out for themselves

We use numeracy, problem solving, comprehension and prediction techniques to develop inquiring minds and get them thinking the right way.

A healthy mind in a healthy body

Teaching your children a lifelong love and habit of daily fitness, outdoor play, drama, motor skills, hygiene and healthy eating.

Language for life

Communication is key, and we teach visual literacy, literacy, talking and listening and IT skills using smartboards, ipads and laptops.

Creating their creative talents

Children learn visual arts, crafts, drama, music and dance to develop fine motor skills and get their creative juices flowing.

Independence skills they can depend on

Teaching children to stand on their own two feet with self-help skills, conversational ability, self expression, toileting, responsibility and belongings.

Not just ready for
school. Ready for life.

At Platinum Pre School, our goal is to empower children with confidence, resilience and values. Yes, it is important they learn the academic skills needed to transition smoothly to primary school. But it is equally important that they learn the right blend of social, mental and emotional skills to ensure they are self-reliant, kind, confident in themselves and prepared for the journey ahead. Here’s some of the areas we focus on:
  • Building relationships – with teachers, peers, community.
  • Developing confidence in a larger group
  • Building independence
  • Rotating groups. Children rotate around through different teachers and different key learning areas.
  • Excursions to local primary schools.
  • Developing community awareness through exposure to charities and community events.
  • Values Education
  • Giving back to the community
  • Inclusion of others

Platinum pre school philosophy

At Platinum Pre School we live by two simple words. Be kind. And this simple sentiment informs our every thought and deed.

Teaching kindness (ELYF)
The Early Years Learning Framework addresses all aspects of a child’s learning; physical, cognitive, emotional, social, creative, language and spiritual.

Value added kindness
Education and care at Platinum Pre School are centred on 24 ‘kindness’ values, including empathy, doing your best, integrity, freedom, etc.

Be Kind to our Community
This involves teaching children to build and maintain mutually respectful and strong relationships with their families and the wider community.

Be Kind to Each Other (Inclusion)
Each child is unique and has individual needs. We embrace this diversity and celebrate it through our curriculum and practices.

A world of kindness (SDG)
We are committed to the United Nations’ 17 sustainable development goals for a better and more sustainable future for all.
